The recipe box for home cooks
ForgetfulChef is a recipe box app for home cooks. Save recipes from any website, scan your cookbooks, and let AI help you cook smarter.

Six powerful features, one beautifully simple app.
Paste a URL from any food site. We pull the recipe, ingredients, and instructions automatically.
Point your camera at any printed recipe. AI reads it and saves it to your collection instantly.
Cooking for 2 or 12? Adjust any recipe's serving size and every ingredient scales with it.
Tell us what's in your fridge. We'll tell you what to cook. Personalized to your taste.
Step-by-step cooking with a built-in timer, hands-free voice control, and your screen stays on.
Plan your week, auto-generate a shopping list, and never ask "what's for dinner?" again.
Food blogs, screenshots in your camera roll, saved posts, the cookbook on the shelf, Grandma's handwritten cards. Paste a link, snap a photo of the page, or type it in. It all lands in one box.
Search by name, ingredient, or category and the recipe is right there, not buried in a bookmark folder you forgot about.
Set the servings and every amount adjusts. Cook Mode walks you through one step at a time with a built-in timer.

Yes. Email chris@chrisdasie.com and we'll cancel it. Cancel during the free trial and you are never charged. After that, you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then your account goes back to the free plan and your recipes stay. We don't give partial refunds for unused time.
On most recipe sites, paste the link and the name, ingredients, steps, and photo come in on their own. You review everything before it saves. If a site blocks the import, scan the page or type the recipe in.
No. It's built for home cooks keeping their own recipes. Commercial use isn't allowed under our terms.
