Terms of Service

By creating a ForgetfulChef account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms apply to all users, free and Pro.

ForgetfulChef is a personal recipe management platform. You agree to use it for lawful purposes only. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the platform
• Upload content that infringes others' intellectual property rights
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

You retain ownership of the recipes and content you save to ForgetfulChef. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display your content as needed to provide the service.

When you import recipes from third-party websites, you're responsible for ensuring you have the right to save and use that content. We encourage you to respect recipe creators.

Pro subscribers get access to advanced features including unlimited recipes, AI-powered tools, cookbook scanning, and more. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled.

Monthly plan: $4.99/month, billed monthly.
Annual plan: $39/year (equivalent to $3.25/month), billed annually.

Free trial: New Pro subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card at checkout but are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged. If you don't cancel, the plan you chose is billed on day 8 and renews automatically after that. One trial per person.

You can cancel anytime by emailing chris@chrisdasie.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time.

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. After cancellation, you'll retain Pro access until the end of your paid period. After that, your account will revert to the free tier. Your recipes will remain, but you'll be subject to the free tier limits.

If you'd like to delete your account entirely, contact us at chris@chrisdasie.com and we'll process it within 5 business days.

ForgetfulChef is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or always available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice. Continued use of ForgetfulChef after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
